Japanese idol group MADMED (マドメド) have officially announced that they will bring their activities to a close on 27 January 2026, marking the group’s second disbandment in just under four years.
The announcement was made on 12 December, with the group confirming that their first anniversary live will also serve as their final performance together.
MADMED are a six-member idol group under MAD’S iNK, consisting of Natsuki Jam, Enma Tora, Onaka Peco, Amagami Ayame, Kakushi Tenlu, and Fukai Numa. (As Tetori dismissed in May)
The group originally debuted as MAD MEDiCiNE on 17 April 2022, before ending activities in early 2025 and relaunching under the new name MADMED on 9 January 2025 with a revised system and concept.
Their slogan, “Be madly dependent” (狂おしいほど、依存して), defined the group’s intense and emotionally driven image during this final chapter.

In an official statement shared on MADMED’s social media, the group reflected on the past year of activities and explained the meaning behind their decision.
They shared that everything created during this period — the music, performances, and shared experiences — could only exist because of these six members.
After one year of preserving MADMED as MADMED, the group decided that the anniversary would also be the moment to close this chapter, allowing each member to move forward as their own individual.
The statement ended with an invitation for fans to attend the final live, with further details to be announced at a later date.

Member Enma Tora shared a lengthy and emotional message addressing supporters directly. Apologising for the sudden nature of the announcement, Enma expressed regret that MADMED could not continue beyond the anniversary show.
They admitted wanting to keep the group alive for as long as possible and even wished the music could remain active in any form.
While acknowledging personal frustration, Enma emphasised that the songs, stages, and time spent with fans would not disappear.
Enma also confirmed they will remain with the agency after MADMED’s activities conclude and expressed a strong desire to continue standing on stage in the future, even if supported by only a small audience.

Onaka Peco described the past year as the most intense and happiest period of their life. As a first-time idol, they shared that MADMED — and these members — were the reason they were able to keep going.
Peco also apologised directly to long-time fans of MAD MEDiCiNE and thanked supporters for accepting the group’s rebirth as MADMED.
While the future remains undecided, Peco reaffirmed that MADMED was chosen as their “first and last idol group,” a feeling that has not changed.
With limited time left, Peco said they want to cherish every remaining stage and moment with fans, hoping supporters will stay by their side until the very end.
Final live details to follow
MADMED’s final live performance will take place on 27 January 2026, exactly one year after the group officially began activities. Further information regarding the venue and ticketing is expected to be announced soon.
