Big congratulations are in order for actress Shuri (35) and BE:FIRST member-turned-actor Miyama Ryoki (26), who have just welcomed their first child.

The pair shared the happy update today, 26 September 2025, via matching Instagram posts.

The announcement came with a touching black-and-white photo of their baby’s tiny hand clasping their fingers.

Alongside the image, the couple expressed gratitude to their parents, doctors, and everyone who supported them through the pregnancy.

They also promised to cherish their family bond and “protect what must be protected,” while wishing kindness and love upon all those who continue to cheer them on.

This milestone arrives less than a month after their marriage announcement on 29 August 2025, when they also revealed that Shuri was truly expecting.

Their whirlwind year has now officially taken an even sweeter turn.

Miyama Ryoki, born in 1999 in Aichi Prefecture, rose to fame through the 2021 audition programme THE FIRST and debuted as part of BE:FIRST, the seven-member dance and vocal group.

While group activities are currently on pause, he’s been actively expanding his acting career, with notable roles in HiGH&LOW THE WORST X (2022), Know the Meaning of the End (2023), and NHK’s Tiger With Wings (2024). Earlier this year, he headlined his first feature film Hold Me Stronger Than Anyone.

Shuri, born in 1990 and the daughter of actor Mizutani Yutaka and former Candies idol Ito Ran, made her acting debut in 2011.

She gained acclaim for her raw performance in Just Only Love (2018), which earned her multiple awards including Best Actress at the Takasaki Film Festival.

In 2023, she was cast as the heroine in NHK’s Boogie Woogie, where she also performed the theme song.

For now, both Shuri and Ryoki Miyama seem set on enjoying their new chapter as parents, while fans across Japan (and beyond) flood social media with congratulations.

Given their track record of balancing personal and professional milestones, it wouldn’t be surprising to see both return to screen and stage in due time—but today, it’s all about celebrating their growing family.
