it’s official — BE:FIRST’s charismatic all-rounder Ryoki (aka Miyama Ryoki) is pressing pause on his journey with the group. BMSG, the agency behind BE:FIRST, dropped the news on 25 May, confirming that Ryoki will be taking a break from all BE:FIRST-related activities following the group’s Singapore World Tour stop on 5 July 2025.
The announcement came via the group’s official site, kicking off with an apology for “worry and inconvenience caused to fans and parties concerned” over recent media noise. But the real eye-catcher? Ryoki himself stepping in with a heartfelt message explaining his reasons for taking a step back.

I’m sorry to fans for causing concern, but I’m beyond thankful for those who continue to believe in me.”
Ryoki Miyama wrapped up his message with a hopeful promise: “I want to face life — and creativity — head-on. I’m holding onto the dream of one day returning to meet you all with everything I’ve got.”
Agency BMSG followed up with their own statement, confirming they had multiple discussions with Ryoki over the past weeks. “After much reflection, we’ve concluded that Ryoki needs time to reset and reassess his future. Therefore, following the Singapore show on 5 July, he will step away from group activities for now.”

They made it clear that BE:FIRST will continue as a six-member unit after the Singapore stop, and that the remaining time with Ryoki will be carried out with full sincerity. “We understand this news may sadden fans looking forward to the full 7-member performances.
