| FAVIQ Officially Names Fans VI8ES and T-Pop Supporters Are Loving It |
FAVIQ have officially given their fans a name to rally behind. The rising Thai T-Pop boy group announced that their official fandom will now be known as VI8ES, ending weeks of anticipation with a reveal that quickly became one of the hottest talking points among supporters across social media.
The announcement was made during the group's official TikTok LIVE on Monday evening at 6pm Thailand time before being shared across their social platforms.
With one simple message, FAVIQ welcomed a new chapter in their journey, writing: "From now on, we want to call all of you VI8ES." It was a short statement, but one that carried plenty of meaning for fans who have supported the group since their debut.
The name VI8ES, pronounced "Vibes", comes from the phrase "Freaking Awesome Vibes", reflecting the cheerful atmosphere, positive energy and joyful moments the members hope to create with fans wherever they meet.
Instead of using the letter "B", the group cleverly replaced it with the number 8, representing the eight members who make up FAVIQ. It is a small design choice, but one that gives the fandom name its own identity while keeping the group's concept front and centre.
Speaking during the livestream, the members shared their excitement about finally revealing the long-awaited name. One member smiled and told viewers, "We've been waiting for this day for a long time. From today, you're officially our VI8ES, and we hope we'll keep making great memories together."
Another added, "Every performance feels louder because of your support. Having a name for everyone makes us feel even closer."
Another member joked that the secret had become increasingly difficult to keep. "We've nearly slipped up so many times," he laughed.
"Now we don't have to hide it anymore. Welcome, VI8ES!" The playful moment reflected the relaxed chemistry the group has become known for since debuting earlier this year.
Managed by G'NEST, a subsidiary of GMM Music, FAVIQ officially entered the T-Pop scene on 20 May 2026 with their energetic digital debut single Your FAV.
Pronounced "Fay-vick", the group's name combines the words "Favourite" and "Freaking Awesome Vibes", highlighting their ambition to become everyone's favourite while spreading positivity through upbeat music and colourful performances.
The eight-member line-up features Names, Blink, Peem, Jeffrey, Joey, Cheva, Zen and Than, each bringing different personalities and experiences to the group.
Some fans already recognised familiar faces before debut, particularly Blink, who previously promoted internationally with Z-Boys, and Peem, who gained attention through a televised talent competition. Together, the members have quickly built a reputation for bright concepts and infectious stage energy.
Fans wasted no time celebrating the announcement. Across X, TikTok and other platforms, supporters flooded comment sections with welcome messages, fan art and edited photos proudly featuring the new fandom name.
Many praised the creative meaning behind replacing the letter B with the number eight, calling it one of the more memorable fandom names to emerge from the growing T-Pop scene.
Not everyone reacted in exactly the same way, though. Some admitted they needed a moment to work out how VI8ES should be pronounced, while others joked that autocorrect might become their newest rival.
Within minutes, however, the confusion gave way to excitement, with most agreeing that once the meaning was explained, the name felt perfectly suited to FAVIQ's cheerful image. Safe to say, the internet survived another fandom naming ceremony without needing a dictionary.
With VI8ES now officially joining the expanding world of T-Pop fandoms, FAVIQ have taken another important step in building their identity beyond music.
As the group prepares for future releases and performances, the bond between the eight members and their newly named supporters looks set to become an even bigger part of FAVIQ story. What do you think of VI8ES? Is it one of the strongest fandom names in T-Pop, or do you have another favourite?
