MBC’s 14-episode fantasy law drama The Judge Returns (판사 이한영) has officially wrapped, and honestly? The finale left us both satisfied and slightly winded. Directed by Lee Jae Jin, this action-mystery courtroom ride blended corruption, second chances, and political chaos into one intense moral chess game.
Fronted by Ji Sung, alongside Park Hee Soon and Won Jin A, the series follows a disgraced judge who gets the ultimate plot twist — death… then a rewind button. But when you go back ten years with all your memories intact, can you really change fate? Or does fate just hit back harder?
The finale wastes no time. Lee Han Yeong (Ji Sung) opens the episode already three steps ahead. Determined to take down former president Park Gwang To (Son Byung Ho), he persuades Sang-cheol to stage a public protest — and surprisingly, the man agrees without asking for payment. Meanwhile, reporter Song Na Yeon (Baek Jin Hee) quietly does what the powerful fear most — she gathers receipts. Hard evidence against Gwang To is prepared for public release.
Just when Gwang To thinks he’s untouchable again after securing bail, things implode. Soon-won is ordered to eliminate him, but the plan flips spectacularly.
Gwang To pulls his own gun and shoots first. As chaos erupts, Han Yeong arrives and arrests him — exposing that Sin Jin has been orchestrating the bloodshed from behind the curtain all along.
