Japanese idol group BiTE A SHOCK have officially confirmed their disbandment, announcing that their final concert, titled “FiNAL BiTE”, will take place on 8 March 2026. The news was revealed during the encore of their year-end solo live BiTE THE UNKNOWN LiVE, held on 21 December in Tokyo.

Formed in July 2023 through the audition programme BiSH THE NEXT, BiTE A SHOCK debuted with the weighty expectation of being positioned as a “second BiSH”.

Over the past two and a half years, the six-member co-ed group stayed together without any lineup changes, steadily carving out their own identity within WACK’s distinct idol ecosystem.

The March 8 live will mark the group’s official farewell, making BiTE A SHOCK the first among WACK’s five groups scheduled to disband in 2026 to publicly confirm a final date.

BiTE A SHOCK Become First WACK Group to Confirm 2026 Disbandment Date

Earlier this month, former WACK representative director Junnosuke Watanabe announced the company’s “Second Chapter” plan, which includes the disbandment of five current groups during 2026.

Under this plan, BiTE A SHOCK members will be given the option to either join WACK’s 2026 audition camp or leave the company by 2027.

While the group’s disbandment had already been anticipated, the confirmation of an exact date still landed with emotional weight for fans.

The announcement was delivered directly to the audience during the encore, reinforcing WACK’s tradition of facing major transitions openly, on stage, and together with supporters.

Alongside the disbandment news, BiTE A SHOCK also premiered their final single, titled “第何次青春”, during the same encore. The song is scheduled for release as a music card on 28 January.

Described as a graduation-style track, the song captures the mixed feelings of standing at a turning point: hope, uncertainty, gratitude, and the quiet courage it takes to move forward.

Rather than framing the end as loss, the lyrics focus on growth, shared memories, and the strength drawn from walking together, even if future paths diverge.

The final word of the song, “see you again”, has already stood out as a message that feels less like a goodbye and more like a gentle pause.

An after-movie from BiTE THE UNKNOWN LiVE has since been released on the group’s official YouTube channel, offering fans a reflective look back at the night everything was announced.

The final concert FiNAL BiTE will be held as a two-show event on the same day, giving fans one last chance to experience BiTE A SHOCK live as a complete group.

Since their debut showcase at Tokyo International Forum Hall C, members Mahito, Rina, Hanano, Ryuusei, Haruto, and Saori have remained together through every release, performance, and challenge. That consistency has become one of the group’s defining traits, and their final months are expected to reflect that same unity.
