| Zhao Lusi Gears Up for Global Stardom with English Singles and a Grammy-Nominated Producer |
Chinese actress-singer Rosy Zhao Lusi is taking her artistry to a whole new level. On 29 October 2025, she dropped a surprise announcement that she’s diving into the international music scene—and not just any way.
She’s teamed up with none other than Brian Lee, the powerhouse producer who’s worked with Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, G-Dragon, and BLACKPINK, to create her newest track Black Veil Bride.
The song, which blends cinematic pop energy with dark elegance, was recorded in Chengdu with Brian Lee’s team flying in for the sessions.
They reportedly held intensive English pronunciation workshops to ensure Zhao Lusi sounded every bit as polished as her global peers.
Fans got an early peek at the process through her behind-the-scenes clips, which showed a very hands-on Zhao Lusi—focused, laughing, and vibing with the team in the studio.
And clearly, it paid off.
Within 10 minutes of its release, Black Veil Bride racked up over 10,000 adds on Chinese streaming platforms, before climbing straight to No.1 within three hours.
Not bad for her first serious foray into English-language music.
But that’s not all—just a few days later, on 1 November, Zhao Lusi teased her second English single, Don’t Wanna Know, through a moody Instagram post.
Dressed in a black gown, her back turned to the camera, the words “Don’t Wanna Know” printed across the shot made the title pretty clear.
The song officially dropped in China on 2 November, with a global release date of 6 November 2025 locked in for both tracks.
The move feels strategic—like Zhao Lusi is testing international waters, bridging her domestic popularity with a global sound.
It’s a bold step for a star already at the top of her game in China, especially amid ongoing chatter about her agency situation.
Yet she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
In between recording and promo, Zhao Lusi is still keeping up with her fans.
On 1 November, she attended a brand event in Shanghai, all smiles and poise as usual, and she’s set to celebrate her birthday with fans in Chengdu on 8 November.
The next day, she’ll appear at a major collaboration event between a TV network and an e-commerce giant in Shanghai—proof her schedule’s packed and her influence remains sky-high.
When one young fan told her she’d booked a flight just to attend her birthday, Zhao Lusi replied with a heartwarming, grounded response:
“Don’t spend your money, there will be plenty of chances to meet. Trust me, we’re working hard, so don’t worry.”
With two English tracks, a Grammy-nominated producer, and a clear global plan in motion, Zhao Lusi isn’t just branching out—she’s making a statement.
