| Popular host clarifies viral ‘Woody Avengers’ clip, promises correction episode with experts |
Thailand’s beloved TV personality Woody Milintachinda has publicly apologised after his remarks about local milk quality in a recent episode of Woody Avengers triggered heavy criticism online.
The controversy began when a short clip from the show went viral, in which Woody was heard suggesting that “most milk in Thailand isn’t real milk” and that “some cartons may have never even touched a real cow.”
The comments immediately drew backlash from Thai netizens and dairy industry representatives, who accused the host of undermining the reputation of Thailand’s dairy products.
Within hours, discussions flooded Twitter and Thai Facebook communities, with hashtags about the show trending across platforms.
🥛 Woody’s Public Apology: “We Spoke Without Full Facts”
In a heartfelt video statement uploaded to his official Facebook page, Woody admitted that the information shared in the episode was incomplete and inaccurate, which led to widespread misunderstanding about Thailand’s milk industry.
“From the topics aired earlier, which have now been taken down, some of the information about milk was not fully accurate. It caused confusion about the quality of Thai milk, and I sincerely apologise to everyone affected — viewers, the dairy community, and our guests,” said Woody.
He went on to clarify that the discussion about milk was spontaneous and unscripted, part of a wider conversation on healthy eating and lifestyle habits.
Woody firmly denied any sponsorship ties or financial motives behind the comments, adding that his team had failed to fact-check properly before airing the episode.
🧠 Plans for a Correction Episode
As part of his response, Woody announced that Woody Avengers will soon air a special correction episode, this time featuring experts from Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health and the Thai Veterinary Association.
The goal, he said, is to provide accurate, science-based information to clear up misunderstandings and restore confidence in local milk products.
“Our intention has always been to educate the public about health and wellness — not to criticise any industry. This experience has taught us to be much more careful when choosing topics and verifying information,” he added.
💬 “Thai Milk Is Not Inferior to Anyone’s”
Woody closed his statement by reaffirming his support for Thailand’s dairy farmers and producers, saying:.
“I want to make it clear that Thai milk is not inferior to anyone’s. We’ve learned a big lesson from this and are committed to making our programme more beneficial for everyone.”
Many viewers praised his willingness to take responsibility, while others hoped the incident would encourage media creators to double-check health-related claims before going public.
