Rumours about Tiffany Tang Yan and her husband Luo Jin being separated for over a year have been swirling around Chinese social media for months, but the story has taken a clear turn. The couple were recently seen together at the farewell ceremony of Luo Jin’s father, immediately shutting down speculation of a split.
The private ceremony took place on 23 November at Babaoshan Funeral Home in Beijing, held in a solemn, closed-door setting with no photography permitted.

Luo Jin was seen carrying his late father’s portrait, while Tiffany Tang stayed by his side from start to finish.
Her presence alone was enough to calm the persistent talk that the pair had quietly parted ways.

Chinese outlets confirmed that Luo Jin’s father passed away in Beijing on 19 November at the age of 70 after a period of illness.
Even Tang’s father was spotted at the farewell, dressed in black and attending discreetly.
Tiffany Tang herself entered through a private passage and remained with her husband throughout, before the pair left the venue together.
Days before the funeral, a Weibo user claimed that a “sweet middle-aged celebrity couple” had already divorced, sending netizens into speculation mode.
Despite no names mentioned, users quickly linked the blind item to Tang Yan and Luo Jin due to their long periods living in separate cities and lack of recent public interaction.
However, new details paint a much clearer picture. Luo Jin reportedly stepped back from work entirely since late last year to care for his father in Beijing.
Meanwhile, Tang Yan remained in Shanghai to focus on their daughter’s schooling, naturally resulting in fewer public sightings of the couple together.
In August, they were even spotted enjoying a day at Shanghai Disneyland with their daughter — a clear sign of normal family life.

The sad news was officially confirmed by Luo Jin’s manager on 20 November.
At the farewell ceremony, several close relatives and long-time friends were present, including Taiwanese actor Ming Dao, who was once a groomsman at Tang and Luo’s wedding.
Local media later photographed Tang Yan and Luo Jin returning home together after the ceremony — even casually throwing away rubbish before heading back on foot.
It marked the couple’s first public appearance together since gossip began, and it quietly dismantled the divorce narrative.
Tang Yan and Luo Jin’s connection dates back to their 2011 collaboration in Beauties of the Troubled Times. They went on to co-star in multiple dramas including Agent X, Diamond Lover, and Princess Weiyoung.
Luo Jin publicly confirmed their relationship in December 2016 on Tang’s birthday with a post that caused a stir across the entertainment circle.
Despite their history of keeping a low profile and choosing privacy over public display, they’ve remained steady. Tang has even stated in past interviews that she dislikes excessive attention on her private life — a stance that likely contributed to the misunderstandings this year.
