On 10 June 2025, producer Liu Yang (real name Liu Mingyang), who was involved in the original production of Diamond Lover, posted a bombshell claim on social media. He alleged that Tang Yan showed up “one month late” to set, throwing the filming schedule into chaos and forcing the team to reshuffle the entire shoot.
