Former Miss Hong Kong contestant Krystal Yang, who rose to online fame back in 2018 for her striking looks despite not making the finals, has shared a worrying health update.

The 27-year-old revealed through her Instagram Stories that she had been rushed to hospital following a suspected case of food poisoning, describing it as her “first time in an ambulance”.

In the photo she posted, Krystal Yang could be seen lying inside the emergency vehicle, looking pale and weak, with medical tubes attached to her arm.

She wrote that she had been vomiting so severely it caused bleeding, leaving fans shocked and concerned for her wellbeing.

The sight of her wrapped in a hospital blanket and hooked up to tubes made it clear her condition had been no small matter.

From Beauty Pageant to Business and Academia

Krystal Yang, originally from mainland China, moved to Hong Kong to pursue her studies before joining the 2018 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, where she gained popularity despite not clinching a top spot.

Her elegance and calm demeanour drew attention from viewers and the press alike.

After the competition, she signed briefly with TVB, but later decided to step away from the entertainment industry, citing limited chances and low pay.

Krystal Yang soon found new direction — switching careers to finance, while also working as a social media personality and entrepreneur.

In recent years, she’s been busy juggling her MBA studies at the University of Hong Kong with running her own fashion brand, which has grown steadily thanks to her business-savvy approach and loyal online following.

A Fairytale Love Story

Krystal’s personal life has also flourished.

Two years ago, she announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Dennis, showing off a stunning 3.5-carat diamond ring reportedly worth over HK$1 million.

The couple tied the knot in Switzerland last July, holding a dreamy and intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends.

She often shares glimpses of her newlywed life on social media — from romantic getaways to stylish couple photos — and fans have often praised her for maintaining grace and humility despite her success.

“Life Is What You Make It”

Just last December, Krystal Yang celebrated another milestone — her graduation from HKU’s MBA programme. In her post, she reflected proudly on her journey:

“From pageants to finance, to earning my MBA and building my own brand — I never stopped pushing myself to grow. Life is what you make it!”

Fans Send Support

Following the sudden health scare, many of Krystal’s followers flooded her comments and DMs with messages of concern and well wishes

While she hasn’t provided further details on her current condition, fans are hopeful she’ll make a full recovery soon.

For now, everyone’s just relieved that the beloved ex-pageant star is in safe hands — and, knowing Krystal’s determined spirit, she’ll no doubt bounce back stronger than ever.
