Japanese idol group chuLa delivered a sudden bombshell on 27 November 2025, announcing that member Watamori Rowa has been removed from the group with immediate effect after what the management described as a “serious contract violation.”

The announcement was posted on the group’s official Twitter account, leaving fans stunned at the speed and severity of the decision. Rowa, who only joined the group earlier this year as the blue member, has now exited without any transition period.

Group Confirms Activities Will Continue as Scheduled

In the formal statement, chuLa’s management explained that Rowa’s actions constituted a major breach of her contract, prompting the immediate removal.

The agency apologised for the sudden nature of the news, acknowledging the shock it may have caused to fans and industry staff.

Despite the internal shake-up, the group will continue with seven members, with all upcoming schedules remaining unchanged.

The message also emphasised that the remaining members and staff will “work even harder” to respond to fans’ support through this unexpected shift.

Watamori Rowa Issues Her Own Apology: “I Hurt the Trust of Many People”

Rowa herself addressed the situation on Twitter the same day, directly apologising to fans, her fellow members, and everyone involved with the group.

chuLa’s Watamori Rowa Steps Down Immediately

She admitted that her “careless actions” had damaged the trust placed in her, expressing regret for the trouble and disappointment caused.

Rowa also reflected on her short time in chuLa, saying she was grateful for the many encounters and experiences she gained since joining.

Her message closed with repeated apologies and thanks to those who had supported her during her brief run in the group.

The Incident: In mid-to-late November 2025, a viral TikTok video surfaced online titled "Watamori Rowa Galba CH**ST Exposure Video". The clip, shared via a Linktree bio (Linkbio) shortcut, allegedly shows Rowa at a galba (short for gyaru bar, a themed nightlife spot popular in Japan's youth culture) in an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

Specifically, it depicts her top slipping or being pulled down, resulting in accidental area exposure during what appears to be a casual, party-like setting with friends. The video is grainy and short (under 30 seconds), but it quickly went viral on platforms like TikTok, amassing thousands of views within hours.

Another Exit in the HEROINES Family Raises Concerns Among Fans

If the news feels familiar, there’s a reason. chuLa is part of the larger HEROINES umbrella — a collective of idol groups managed by imaginate — and several of its sister units have experienced similar sudden departures this year.

In August, Nodoka Nara from iLiFE! left due to a “major rule violation.”

Just days later, group leader Konoka Riri was demoted over actions deemed inappropriate under company regulations.

Earlier this month, Fujisaki Azu, a trainee under HEROINES Research Students, also exited immediately after another rule breach.

With yet another abrupt departure now added to the list, fans across Twitter voiced their frustrations, questioning why such issues keep surfacing within HEROINES groups.

Many noted that this pattern is becoming too frequent, urging the agency to address the root causes.
