Kirameki☆Unforent’s Ria Koori Involved in Hit-and-Run

Koori Ria, a member of the J-Pop idol group Kirameki☆Unforent, was involved in a traffic incident that’s now being treated as a hit-and-run on September 28m

At first, Ria thought she’d got away with only a couple of bruises, but when the pain didn’t ease up she headed to hospital for a check-up.

Thankfully, scans confirmed she hadn’t suffered any serious injuries, and she’s since reassured fans that she’s doing fine.

She even posted a waiting-room photo to calm worried followers.

Koori Ria wasn’t alone at the time – fellow member Mimi Tsukino was with her and quickly took a photo of the car involved.

That picture was handed straight over to the police, who launched an investigation.

What surprised fans was the outcome: while management initially referred to it as a “hit-and-run,” the police categorised it as “atari-nige” (essentially a property-damage hit-and-run) after the driver claimed they “didn’t realise” the collision had even happened.

Management say they’re now working with both police and the insurance company to sort things out.

Kirameki☆Unforent’s official statement explained that Ria may sit out certain live appearances depending on how she feels, but also reassured fans that she’s staying positive.

In fact, the management joked that Koori Ria herself was already “turning it into a funny story” to move forward.

That light-hearted tone didn’t sit well with everyone, though.

Online, some fans questioned why the case wasn’t treated more seriously, with comments like “How can it not count as a hit-and-run if she was injured?” and “It’s scary to think someone could just drive off and not notice.”

For now, Koori Ria is recovering, keeping spirits up, and reminding fans she’s okay.

Kirameki☆Unforent have encouraged supporters to keep coming to their shows and not let the incident overshadow the group’s activities.

It’s not the kind of news any idol wants to share, but Koori Ria’s upbeat attitude and Mimi’s quick-thinking may well have prevented the situation from dragging on.

Fans are just glad she’s safe – and will no doubt keep cheering her on when she’s ready to hit the stage again.
