| From Kamakura to Close-Ups: Ito Momoka Debuts Photobook in December |
AKB48’s rising star Ito Momoka is gearing up to unveil her first photobook, set for release on 11 December. The book promises a fresh look at the young talent — part glamour, part introspection — packaged in two distinct sections.
The first half is the classic photobook format, with beautifully shot gravure scenes.
The setting? Kamakura — where Momoka wanders through early-morning moments in a seaview villa, candidly brushing her teeth, relaxing in the living room, diving into a courtyard pool, commuting in her school uniform, and strolling through town in a yukata, café-hopping, playing in a park, and even enjoying a dog café.
As dusk falls, she dons a dark, mature look by the seaside — a contrast to her usual idol image, revealing a more grown-up side.
The second half is all about reading material: a three-part feature including her personal history, favourite things, and — most excitingly — 100 Q&A questions where Ito Momoka opens up about her life, dreams, and the road she’s walked so far.

Fans will get to peek at not just the polished idol persona but the real person behind the spotlight.
Born on 6 December 2003, Momoka is currently part of AKB48’s 19th generation kenkyuusei.
This photobook marks a milestone in her journey as she edges into the spotlight as a potential next-generation ace.
In her statement, she shared:
“Putting out a photobook has been one of my goals, so I’m honestly overjoyed that it’s happening so soon. This is a really precious book for me. I hope it becomes a memorable keepsake for fans too.”
“The Kamakura shoots and pages full of my favourite things are what I’m most excited about. I wanted to include hair, clothing, and expressions that fans don’t often see — so you’ll feel like you really get to know Ito Momoka through these pages.”
To celebrate the launch, a SHOWROOM broadcast is planned for 16 October at 20:00 (Japan time) — a chance for her to chat directly with fans ahead of the release.
This photobook isn’t just a collection of pretty photos — it’s a statement: Ito Momoka is stepping forward, showing more of who she is, and inviting fans to take the journey with her.
