| Love For You: Song Weilong and Zhang Jingyi’s 90s Crime Romance Wraps Filming |
Chinese drama Love For You (野狗骨头), also known as Wild Dogs Bones, has officially wrapped filming after less than four months on set.
Adapted from the novel by Xiu Tu Cheng, this 32-episode series is shaping up to be a gritty mix of crime, love, and unresolved trauma, set against the backdrop of a small Southern Chinese town in the 1990s.
At the heart of the story is Chen Yi (played by Song Weilong), described as rough and untamed like a wild dog, and Miao Jing (Zhang Jingyi), whose stubbornness is her shield.
As children, they’re bound together by family tragedies — Chen Yi loses his father while Miao Jing’s mother mysteriously disappears.

With the adults gone, the two kids end up depending on each other, forming an uneasy bond.
Fast forward to their university years, Miao Jing finds the courage to confess her feelings, but their fragile happiness is shattered when Chen Yi becomes a key witness in a serious arson case.
To protect her, he pushes Miao Jing away, even as he’s drawn deeper into the dangerous world of crime.
Years later, fate pulls them back together: Chen Yi now runs a billiard hall, while Miao Jing returns to Tengcheng to audit Good Luck Logistics. Old emotions resurface, but so do the shadows of their past.
