What’s the Story?
Set in the Tang Dynasty, Unveil: Jadewind opens with the shocking death of Princess Huai Si during the Lantern Festival.
Chief guard Li Pei Yi (played by Bai Lu) and the enigmatic Lingtai Lang, Xiao Huai Jin (Wang Xingyue), are ordered to investigate.
What seems at first like a tragic accident spirals into a chilling discovery: the princess herself was the culprit, betrayed and cornered into a deadly fate.
Her vengeance sees her punishing her betrayer and the daughter of a powerful family before ultimately leaping from Penglai Terrace to escape an arranged marriage.
From there, Li Pei Yi and Xiao Huai Jin uncover a web of strange cases inside the palace walls, exposing the struggles of women trapped in the harem system.
The investigation slowly unravels a decade-old murder and a conspiracy tying together the right prime minister and a cunning concubine.
