| Song Yi Dodges Bai Jingting Marriage Question, Deletes Post After Hashtag Goes Viral |
Chinese actress Song Yi thought she was doing something light and fun when she opened up a social media post for fans, inviting them to ask her anything. She wrote:
“Do you have anything you want to ask me? Recently I’ve had a strong urge to share.”
It sounded harmless enough, but the top comment quickly set the internet ablaze. One netizen boldly asked:
“When are you marrying Bai Jingting?”
Trending Chaos and Deleted Post
The blunt question instantly triggered a wave of discussion, sending the hashtag “Song Yi Asked When Are You Marrying Bai Jingting” racing into trending topics.
Rather than engage, Song Yi chose to stay silent. Not long after, the entire interactive post was quietly deleted. Fans immediately noticed, interpreting the move as a sign her “share mood” had suddenly vanished.
Some labelled it as her being put off by invasive questions about her private life, while others suspected it was her team stepping in to avoid fuelling relationship speculation.

Fans Divided Over Privacy vs. Curiosity
Public reaction quickly split into two camps. Supporters praised Song Yi for drawing boundaries, pointing out that personal questions about marriage cross the line.
On the flip side, some online voices claimed the deletion was strategic damage control, suggesting her agency wanted to kill off gossip before it spiralled further.
It’s worth noting that since 2023, Song Yi and actor Bai Jingting have been spotted together multiple times, fuelling ongoing romance rumours. Neither has ever given an official response to the whispers, leaving fans to fill in the blanks themselves.

All of this comes right as Song Yi is actively promoting her latest historical drama Yu Jin Chang An, co-starring rising actor Cheng Lei.
The drama kicked off with a splashy premiere, featuring a romantic sakura-blossom kiss scene between the leads that quickly went viral.
Within just five episodes, the drama has already served fans multiple “high-sweet” kiss moments — including an intense face-off where Song Yi’s character gets injured, sparking a wild emotional outburst and kiss from Cheng Lei’s role.
The storyline follows Song Yi as a fearless female general who saves an amnesiac man (played by Cheng Lei), bringing him into her camp and naming him Jin An. The two slowly develop feelings, only for him to later recover memories that reveal he’s actually her enemy. Together, they must face both romance and political intrigue.
For Cheng Lei, the drama is another major leap. His character comes with triple identities — ordinary man, superpowered warrior at night, and the ruler Duan Aodeng — giving him a broad acting challenge. Following his breakout role in Jinyue Ruge, he’s been in hot demand, with his follower count reportedly skyrocketing by 500,000 in a single week earlier this year.
