Sho Kiryuin, the 41-year-old frontman of the Japanese visual kei band Golden Bomber, has shocked fans by announcing his divorce just four years after marrying a non-celebrity woman. 

The vocalist took to his official Twitter account earlier this week to share the unexpected news, stating, “We officially divorced last week.” The brief message left many fans stunned and seeking clarity.

Alongside the tweet, Sho Kiryuin also posted an official statement on Golden Bomber’s fan club website. He wrote, “We legally separated last week. I understand that news of a divorce is not something people want to hear, but I will strive to share more uplifting updates about live performances and events from now on. I will continue to give my best in my work.”
