KLP48’s Brand-New Kuala Lumpur Theatre Progress Announced at First Anniversary Concert |
Malaysian idol group KLP48 just celebrated a huge milestone—their first anniversary concert on 16 August 2025—and they didn’t come empty-handed.
During the show, the management dropped a major bombshell: the group is getting their very own theatre, officially dubbed the KLP48 Theater.
The venue will be located in none other than LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), right in the heart of Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

For those who haven’t visited yet, Lalaport BBCC, also known as Mitsui Shopping Park, is a luxurious, Japan-themed shopping paradise in Malaysia, making it a fitting home for the youngest sibling of Japan’s AKB48 family.
Fans can look forward to regular weekly performances, mirroring what AKB48 does at their Akihabara theatre in Tokyo.

This means KLP48 will have a stable, dedicated stage where fans can enjoy live shows, special events, and possibly meet-and-greets in a more intimate setting.
