J SOUL BROTHERS’ Yamashita Kenjiro (40) and model-actress Asahina Aya (31) have officially levelled up to a family of four! The pair welcomed their second child recently, with Kenjiro sharing the joyful news on his personal blog on the 2nd. Both mum and bub are doing well, and the vibes at home? Nothing but happy chaos and new baby cuddles.
Kenjiro Yamashita wrote, “On a personal note, I’d like to let you know that our second child has been born. It’s been a few days since our new life began, and we’re living each day full of happiness.” Honestly, sounds like pure domestic bliss.
The couple’s love story has been sweet and steady. They tied the knot back in July 2021, and their first child was born in March 2024. The second pregnancy was revealed earlier this year in January, so fans have been quietly cheering them on ever since.

Kenjiro, known for his powerhouse stage presence with Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS since 2010, is also a familiar face on telly. He’s been lighting up Tuesday mornings on NTV’s ZIP! since April 2018, showing off his easygoing charm as a regular personality.
As for Aya Asahina, she’s no stranger to the spotlight either. A former exclusive model for Ray magazine, she’s done everything from variety shows (PON!) to big-name commercials, and even landed her first lead film role in the 2022 flick Red Shoes. These days, she’s gracing the pages of Oggi as one of its top models.
Despite their busy careers, the couple have always been pretty open when it comes to sharing major milestones with fans – and this latest baby update was no exception.
