YU-KA to Produce J-Pop Idol Group "amini", Featuring Former Members of Fairies, ZOC, and More |
former WACK member Pan Luna Leafy has officially announced the formation of a new idol group, amini, comprised entirely of well-established performers from across the J-Pop landscape.
The group will make its debut on 6 June 2025, and a nationwide audition is currently underway to select a sixth and final member, whose identity will be unveiled on 29 July.
Produced by YU-KA, the former leader of the dance-pop outfit TEMPURA KIDZ, amini positions itself as a collective of seasoned talent with a shared ambition to push the boundaries of idol artistry.
Each of the current members brings a wealth of experience to the project, having previously made their mark in prominent groups.
The founding line-up includes:
-
Pan Luna Leafy (White), formerly of BiS, HO6LA, and NARLOW.
-
Marina Nishii (Orange), known for her work with Nama Hamu to Yaki Udon, ZOC, and APOKALIPPPS.
-
Momoka Hanazawa (Green), previously a member of Jewel.
-
Sora Nomoto (Blue), formerly of Fairies and LAXYS.
-
Mahiro Hayashida (Yellow), with past affiliations including Fairies, M Three, Youplus, and Kiyoshi Ryujin 25, where she remains an active member.
Amini will be managed under the verse-ltd agency and aims to establish a strong presence in Japan’s vibrant idol scene, drawing on the members’ rich histories in both mainstream and alternative units.
The group’s formation follows in the footsteps of projects like NARLOW, which similarly embraced experienced performers over fresh recruits.
The decision to hold an open audition for the sixth member reflects amini’s blend of curated professionalism and fresh discovery.
Aspiring idols will have the rare opportunity to join a group with industry veterans from the outset, promising a debut steeped in anticipation and high expectations.
With a debut date fast approaching and a dynamic production team behind them, amini is poised to become one of 2025’s most closely watched new acts.
