Jang Dong Woo's Coming Back to Malaysia — This Time Solo! INFINITE’s Charmer Gears Up for Fan-Con in KL |
Hold on to your lightsticks, Inspirits — KL’s about to get a whole lot louder this August, and it’s not just because of traffic. INFINITE’s very own Jang Dong Woo is heading back to Malaysia, but this time he’s ditching the group format for something a bit more personal. That’s right — the rapper-dancer-songwriter is bringing his solo fan-con tour “CONNECTION” to Kuala Lumpur this 15th August 2025 (Friday)!
Fresh off INFINITE’s 15th anniversary tour (which saw them rock Malaysian stages just a few months back), Dong Woo’s not done showing love to local fans. After all, it’s not every day you get a member of one of K-pop’s most legendary second-gen groups coming back solo — with a mic, a setlist, and a whole lot of charm.
From Group Glory to Solo Spotlight

Dong Woo debuted with INFINITE back in 2011, known for his high-energy performances, razor-sharp rap flow, and surprisingly soft-spoken off-stage personality. Since then, he’s carved out a name not just as a group performer, but as a soloist too. His solo debut album “Bye” dropped in 2019, led by the groovy and emotional track “News”, showcasing his artistry beyond just stage presence.
Fast forward to now, and Dong Woo’s taking the next step in his solo journey — connecting with fans across Asia in a more intimate setting. The “CONNECTION” fan-con tour kicks off in Seoul before making stops in Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Hong Kong.
What To Expect in KL

While we’re still waiting on venue and ticketing details (Star Planet’s keeping that under wraps for now), here’s what we do know: 15th August (Friday), mark your calendars. Dong Woo’s first-ever solo event in Malaysia promises more than just a performance — think fun games, live Q&As, fan interaction galore, and of course, some of his own solo tracks live for the first time in KL.
If the February group concert is anything to go by, expect energy, cheeky banter, and a very real chance of crying over how sweet he is in person.
And let’s not forget — Dong Woo’s not the first INFINITE member to go solo in Malaysia. Both Nam Woohyun and Kim Sung Kyu have held their own solo gigs here, and the fan response? Wild. So you can bet there’ll be a packed house once tickets go live.
