| GMMTV Shake-Up: New Centralised System for Job Offers, Goodbye to Individual Managers |
GMMTV, Thailand's largest entertainment agency, has announced a significant shift in its operational structure, impacting how job offers for its artists are handled. Under the new system, all work-related opportunities for artists will be directed to a centralised contact point, bypassing individual managers.
Tha Sataporn, the CEO of GMMTV, along with the agency’s artists and their managers, convened to discuss the change, which is being seen as a bold move in the Thai entertainment industry.
A noticeable change that supports this update is seen in the Instagram bios of all GMMTV artists. While previously, each artist listed their personal manager's contact details, from this month, all bios were updated to reflect a central contact point.
The new contact number (+66) 61-414-4046, the official email gmmtv.artists@gmail.com, and the Line OA: @/gmmtvartists_work were added to streamline communication.
The shift means that job offers, scheduling requests, and work details will now be sent directly to a centralised team at GMMTV, which will then manage the distribution of these opportunities to the appropriate artists, replacing the need for individual manager involvement. This change is expected to address previous concerns regarding some managers’ professionalism, with reports of miscommunication and mismanagement.
