Yep, you read that right.
The veteran Hong Kong actor Brian Wong Chak Fung just dropped some seriously heartwarming news: he and his wife, Chen Lili, are expecting baby number two.
Their daughter Fei Fei, now six years old, is about to step into the role of big sister—and by the sounds of it, she’s absolutely buzzing with excitement.
Posting on Instagram with all the joy in the world, Brian captioned:
“A wish fulfilled. I am going to be a big sis. A different kind of Mother's Day. The taste of happiness. The happiness of a family of four. Mother’s Day Special. Fei Ma’s successful renewal of love. Fei Fei’s dream of being a big sis finally came true.”
It’s the kind of post that melts your heart—and gives you a warm fuzzy feeling all day.
Not your average parenting journey
Brian and Lili, both 58, have walked a long and winding road to get here.
The couple tied the knot back in 2010, but it wasn’t until 2019—nine years in—that they welcomed their first daughter, Fei Fei, into the world.
Back then, they were already in their early 50s.
They had hoped to expand their family soon after, but life, as it does, threw a few curveballs.
First came COVID, which made everything uncertain.
Then came heartbreak—after getting pregnant again, Lili sadly had a miscarriage. The couple didn’t give up though.
On their doctor’s advice, they turned to IVF, hoping for a little miracle.
And now, five months along, that miracle is due in September.
Fei Fei’s all in on her big sister duties
Fei Fei, their bubbly little girl, is thrilled.
She’s been telling everyone she’s ready to help with everything—from cuddles to nappy changes.
It’s clear she’s been dreaming of this for a while. Big sis status: loading.
“We don’t care what people think”
Of course, not everyone sees older parenthood the same way, and Brian knows that.
But he’s unbothered.
He says he has full faith in modern medicine and that his wife’s actually in better shape this time round than she was when pregnant with Fei Fei.
“I felt very happy when I found out my wife was pregnant again,” he said. “I’ll work even harder now—to earn milk money!”
