STARTO ENTERTAINMENT has announced an exciting new move: from May 2025, they’ll be teaming up with "J-pop Legacy," the new company headed by SUPER EIGHT’s Tadayoshi Okura (39).

The partnership was revealed via an official statement on STARTO’s website on 26 April.

According to the announcement, STARTO has signed a business outsourcing agreement with J-pop Legacy, under which the new company will take charge of nurturing, scouting and producing junior talents, as well as overseeing the production work for other artists.

It's all part of STARTO’s broader plans to strengthen their operations and keep pushing the boundaries of entertainment.

J-pop Legacy was set up in July last year with Okura himself stepping into the role of CEO.

His vision?

To create a space where he can express entertainment freely in his own way, after spending 27 years building his career.

As he approaches 40, Okura shared that he wanted to take on a fresh challenge, working with up-and-coming talents to craft content that respects Japan’s beloved entertainment culture, while also reaching deeper into people’s hearts.

STARTO says they're committed to exploring even more new possibilities in entertainment going forward — and this latest partnership looks set to be a major part of that journey.
