Koshiba Fuka and Satoh Takeru Team Up for Twisted Time-Travel Revenge Drama 'Watashi no Otto to Kekkon Shite' on Prime Video (All Pics: Amazon) |
Amazon Prime Video is cooking up something intense for drama lovers! Koshiba Fuka and Satoh Takeru have been confirmed as co-leads in the upcoming Japanese original series Watashi no Otto to Kekkon Shite (Marry My Husband), premiering exclusively on Prime Video from 27 June 2025.
The show promises a gripping mix of betrayal, time travel, and sweet, sweet revenge – and honestly, we’re here for it.
Joining the two leads are Shiraishi Sei and Yokoyama You (from SUPER EIGHT), rounding out a seriously strong cast.
This drama, which spans 10 episodes with two dropping every Friday, is a major Japan-Korea collaboration project, with Korean entertainment giants CJ ENM and Studio Dragon — yes, the same team behind Parasite and Crash Landing on You — backing the production.
Watashi no Otto to Kekkon Shite is adapted from the popular Korean web novel (and later hit K-drama) Marry My Husband.
The story follows Misaki (played by Koshiba Fuka), a woman who's always put everyone else first – her best mate, her husband, you name it.
But her loyalty gets her nowhere when she’s betrayed by the two people she trusted most... and it costs Misaki her life.
Except, it’s not quite the end.
She suddenly wakes up 10 years earlier, giving her the ultimate shot at payback.

Forget being the supporting character — Misaki’s out to be the star of her own story this time around, plotting to bring down her so-called bestie and husband before they can hurt her again.
Satoh Takeru plays Wataru Suzuki, Misaki’s cool and mysterious boss — a man she barely knew in her first life, but who suddenly becomes an important part of her second chance.
As their lives start to intertwine, Misaki’s once clear-cut revenge plan gets a little more complicated...
Meanwhile, Shiraishi Sei will portray Rena Esaka, Misaki’s childhood friend-turned-betrayer, and Yokoyama Yu will take on the role of Tomoya Hirano, Misaki’s two-faced husband.
The project is directed by Ahn Gil-ho, known for Korean suspense hits like The Glory, while the script is penned by Satomi Oshima, fresh off a win for Best Screenplay at the 48th Japan Academy Awards.

With this powerhouse team behind the scenes, expectations are sky-high.
Speaking about the role, Koshiba Fuka shared that playing Misaki felt like tapping into a whole new side of herself.
"Misaki’s kindness and strength really shine through, even as she struggles with revenge. I hope viewers will root for her journey to live life for herself this time."
Satoh Takeru added that he focused on showing Wataru’s quiet determination to protect Misaki, calling the experience of working with a Korean director "refreshing and inspiring."
Shiraishi Sei said tackling Rena’s complex emotions was a tough but rewarding challenge, hinting that fans will see her like never before.
Meanwhile, Yokoyama Yu admitted that Tomoya is "the most intense and difficult character" he’s ever played – even his friends were shocked when they heard he was taking on the role!
The teaser visual shows Misaki and Wataru staring intently at each other, sparking rumours about whether this boss-subordinate relationship might grow into something deeper.
Looming in the background, Tomoya and Rena’s watchful eyes hint at the tangled web of betrayal and unfinished business waiting to explode.
If you’re into intense character drama with a twist of revenge fantasy, this one’s definitely one to put on your watchlist. June 27th can’t come soon enough.
