Peak times ahead for all Malaysians, especially K-pop fans! Get ready to add a new name to your stan list, because KIIRAS is officially on the way! Earlier this month, K-pop fans (especially in Malaysia!) were buzzing after it was confirmed that Alicia Wong aka Lingling (링링), the 20-year-old sweetheart we first met on I-LAND 2, will finally be making her Kpop debut.

And not just anywhere – she's about to take on the K-pop world with a fresh new girl group under South Korea’s Lean Branding agency.
Since dropping the bombshell, the company has been carefully teasing fans with little breadcrumbs – and now, we’ve finally got a clearer picture.

First things first – the name!
According to reports from Naver Entertainment, KIIRAS (키라스) is a mix of the Korean word “기/氣” (ki), meaning energy or spirit, and the English word rascal.
Basically, these girls are set to be full of fiery charm – a little mischievous, a lot lovable, and totally unforgettable. It’s giving playful rebels, and honestly, we’re here for it.
Six Girls, One Dream
Lean Branding also spilled that KIIRAS will be a six-member group.
Besides our girl Lingling repping Malaysia, the lineup will feature one Japanese member and four Korean members.
Although they’re keeping the full roster under wraps for now, a sneak peek teaser image showed the silhouettes of all six girls – and fans are already obsessed with their vibes.
Expect formal introductions to start rolling out any minute now, and let’s just say... the anticipation is real.
When Are They Debuting?
Mark your calendars, people: 29th May 2025 (Thursday) is the big day.
The teaser also revealed the group’s first official logo – sleek, modern, and slightly edgy – fitting the whole rascal energy they’re promising.
Details about their debut release are still hush-hush, but insiders reckon it’ll be a digital single, which is pretty standard for rookie groups these days.
Either way, we know the girls will come out swinging.

It’s not just the girls who are making waves – the team backing them is stacked with some serious K-pop talent.
SAAAY (쎄이), the insanely talented singer-songwriter and producer who’s worked with legends like aespa and Baekhyun, is involved as both producer and vocal trainer for KIIRAS.
If that wasn’t enough, K-pop heavyweight DEEZ (디즈) – who’s produced tracks for some of the biggest names in the game – also lent his skills to the debut track.
With this dream team behind them, it’s pretty clear that KIIRAS isn’t coming to play.
A New Concept for a New Generation
One thing’s for sure: KIIRAS isn’t planning to be “just another girl group.”
According to leaks from the Korean media, the girls are cooking up a completely new concept – something no other idol group has done before.
Ambitious? Absolutely.
