Sumino Wakana, the captain of NMB48’s Team M, surprised fans during the "M no Sign" theatre show on 8 February 2025 by announcing her decision to graduate from the group.
In her heartfelt speech, Wakana Sumino thanked her fans for their unwavering support and the cherished memories they created together.
She plans to graduate in April and has said she is planning to go to a vocational school after graduation. She will not be participating in the 31st single.

Known affectionately as “Wakanyan,” she has played a vital role in NMB48, progressing from a Kenkyuusei to a co-captain and eventually becoming Team M’s captain.
