Remember Shunmaya? The high school lovebirds who stole hearts on Kyou, Suki ni Narimashita – Hawaii Edition?
Well, they’ve called it quits.
On 16th February, both Shun Maeda (22) and Maya Shigekawa (21) took to Instagram to announce their divorce.
They announced their marriage and Maya's pregnancy on April 21, 2020. Maeda waited until his 18th birthday in May, registered their marriage in June. Maya gave birth to their first child on July 9 of the same year and their second child in November 2022.
Maya broke the news first, saying, “It’s sudden, but we’ve decided to divorce.”
She reassured fans that they’ll continue co-parenting their two children and thanked everyone for their support.

Shun echoed the sentiment, posting a picture of them together and promising to raise their kids with love.
