Horror Comedy "Mieruko-chan" Cast Revealed
The much-anticipated live-action film "Mieruko-chan" has unveiled additional cast members, with Kumada Rinka, Naenano, and Yamashita Coki joining Hara Nanoka in this horror-comedy adaptation.
Based on Izumi Tomoki's hit manga, the movie boasts a staggering 85 million online views and over 3 million printed copies in Japan.
Directed by Noriyoshi Nakamura, known for chilling classics like Dark Water, the film introduces Kumada as Hana Yurikawa, Naenano as Yuria Niguredou, and Yamashita as the original character Akio Gondou.
Hara stars as protagonist Miko Yotsuya, who pretends not to see the spirits haunting her.
Kumada described her first horror experience as "fun yet challenging," while Naenano praised the script’s blend of humour and scares.
Yamashita, tasked with creating a brand-new character, expressed excitement over his role.
The movie premieres this summer, blending laughter, fear, and school life for a truly unique experience.
