It is not another Grand Slam trophy or another record-breaking moment on court. Instead, the tennis legend has always said raising her three sons is the achievement she values most. As Netflix's Chris & Martina: The Final Set brings renewed attention to her remarkable life, many viewers are now asking the same question: where are Alex, Nicky and Colton Mill today?
After marrying former Olympic downhill skier Andy Mill in 1988, Chris Evert stepped away from professional tennis and embraced family life. The couple welcomed three sons before eventually separating in 2006.
Although their marriage came to an end, both remained committed parents, ensuring their children grew up surrounded by support rather than headlines. Sometimes the most successful doubles partnership happens away from the tennis court.
Their eldest son, Alexander "Alex" Mill, inherited plenty of his parents' competitive spirit, although he found his own route into sport. Today, he competes as a CrossFit athlete while coaching others through Invictus CrossFit in San Diego, helping athletes improve training, recovery and nutrition. Clearly, his body has signed a peace treaty with him at last.
Alex has also briefly stepped into broadcasting alongside his famous mother. The pair appeared together on ESPN during the 2024 US Open Women's Singles semi-finals, offering expert analysis that naturally caught fans' attention.
Away from television, however, his biggest priority remains supporting clients in the gym and standing beside Chris Evert throughout her public battle with ovarian cancer, proving family remains just as important as fitness.
Middle son Nicholas "Nicky" Mill chose a completely different direction. Rather than following tennis courts or ski slopes, he found his happy place on rivers, lakes and open water. Fishing became an obsession from childhood thanks to countless trips with his father, and what started as an after-school hobby slowly developed into a full-time career.
Before turning his passion into a profession, Nicky earned a Business degree from Lynn University before moving to New York for agency work. The fast-paced city lifestyle, however, never quite felt like home.
He eventually traded office buildings for mountain landscapes, relocating to Aspen, Colorado, where he became a respected fishing guide on the Roaring Fork and Frying Pan Rivers. Not everyone dreams of corner offices; some prefer riverbanks with better scenery and fewer emails.
His outdoor career has continued to grow ever since. Alongside guiding anglers, Nicky co-hosts the Mill House Podcast with his father, discussing fishing, hunting and outdoor adventures while travelling to destinations including Alaska, Australia, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba and New Zealand.
His career may not involve tennis rackets, but it certainly requires patience, skill and occasionally convincing fish to cooperate. Away from work, Nicky has embraced family life just as enthusiastically.
He and his wife, Rebecca Mill, welcomed their son, Hayden James Mill, in 2024, beginning a new generation of the Mill family story. Whether Hayden eventually picks up a tennis racket, a fishing rod or something entirely different remains anyone's guess, although family gatherings probably include enough sporting advice to fill several coaching manuals.
Youngest brother Colton Jack Mill has taken perhaps the most unexpected path of all by choosing privacy over publicity.
While his parents became sporting icons and his brothers have maintained visible careers, Colton has deliberately stayed away from public attention. It is a rare move in an era where even breakfast can somehow become social media content.
Little is publicly known about Colton's professional or personal life, and that appears to be exactly how he prefers it. His family has consistently respected his wishes by keeping him largely out of the spotlight, sharing very little about him publicly.
He has occasionally appeared at charity events supporting family causes, but beyond that, he has successfully avoided becoming a permanent public figure. In today's world, staying offline might actually be the most impressive achievement of all.
