Youku has officially entered its sequel era, confirming plans for second seasons for several major Chinese dramas including Legend of Zang Hai, The Immortal Ascension, Blood River, The Blood of Youth, Regeneration, and the heavily discussed historical mystery thriller Unveil: Jadewind (唐宫奇案之青雾风鸣).
For many viewers though, one title instantly swallowed the conversation whole. The moment “Season 2 confirmed” appeared next to Unveil: Jadewind, Chinese drama fans collectively forgot how to behave online for several hours.
The platform confirmed that a sequel to the completed drama is officially in development, with more details set to be announced later.
