Chinese drama Dazzling (耀眼) has only just premiered, yet the internet is already doing what it does best: turning a simple promo caption into full-scale detective work.. Premiering on 27 May 2026 through Hunan TV and Mango TV, the youth romance series starring Guan Xiaotong and Li Yunrui arrived with huge anticipation, emotional storytelling, and just enough unexpected controversy to push it straight into trending topics.
The discussion exploded after Li Yunrui promoted the drama using the phrase “Let me introduce everyone, this is…”, wording many fans immediately connected to the iconic caption once used by Lu Han and Guan Xiaotong when they publicly confirmed their relationship years ago.
Not long after reactions flooded in, the caption was quietly edited, which naturally only made people talk even more. Because once the internet smells possible “coincidence marketing”, there is absolutely no turning back.

What made the situation even messier is how Chinese social media recently became obsessed with the whole “this celebrity must be uncomfortable” style of discussion thanks to viral jokes surrounding Dylan Wang Hedi. Usually those comments are treated as dramatic fan exaggerations, with netizens teasing stars for being overly sensitive over tiny things.
But in this case, many people joked that if anyone genuinely had a reason to feel awkward seeing the situation unfold, it was probably Lu Han.
Without saying a single word or even being connected to the drama itself, his name suddenly ended up back in trending conversations simply because Guan Xiaotong was promoting a new romance series.

Meanwhile, Dazzling itself is shaping up to be one of Hunan TV’s biggest romance releases of the year. Adapted from a popular novel from Jinjiang Literature City, the drama follows Qing Ye, played by Guan Xiaotong, a city girl forced to return to her hometown after family troubles disrupt her life.
Back in the countryside, she reconnects with Xing Wu, portrayed by Li Yunrui, a village boy whose quiet personality slowly becomes central to her emotional journey. The story stretches across several years, following the pair from their school days into adulthood as they navigate education, work pressures, family expectations and the messy reality of growing up.

Rather than relying purely on fluffy romance, the series leans heavily into themes of identity, personal ambition and emotional healing. It is very much the kind of slow-burn youth drama designed to make viewers nostalgic about first love while simultaneously reminding them how exhausting adulthood actually is.
Production for Dazzling began in Weihai in June 2025 and wrapped in August the same year. During filming, Li Yunrui reportedly suffered a leg injury on set, though production continued without major delays. The drama later secured official distribution approval in March 2026 and was included in China’s priority copyright protection project list, showing how strongly the industry backed the series before release.
Even before its premiere, audience interest had already reached impressive levels. The drama reportedly surpassed two million advance reservations ahead of launch, with seasonal posters, teaser clips and behind-the-scenes content constantly circulating across social media.
The chemistry between Guan Xiaotong and Li Yunrui also became one of the most discussed parts of the promotional campaign, especially as both actors represent different generations of traffic power in Chinese entertainment. Supporters of the drama praised the emotional atmosphere, cinematography and youthful storytelling, while others admitted the caption controversy completely distracted them from the actual plot for a while.
