Li Yunrui Praises Dazzling Cast, Subtly Shuts Down Fan Tensions in Style (Weibo) |
Chinese actor Li Yunrui’s been putting in the hours on the set of his latest drama Dazzling (耀眼)—but he’s also taken time to drop a few heartfelt words for his fans. During a recent livestream, the rising star not only gave viewers a peek behind the scenes but also calmly addressed the lowkey fan tension that’s been brewing online.
“Every drama is my favourite,” he said with a relaxed smile. “I hope you’ll support me, respect every co-star, and protect the fruits of our hard work.” Simple, polite—and lowkey powerful.
While he didn’t call out anyone directly, many netizens clocked it as a classy response to the growing chatter following the casting reveal.
Some of his more vocal fans had been debating over the name order in Dazzling’s official promos, particularly in relation to co-star Guan Xiaotong. Things got a bit heated on Weibo, with certain corners of the fandom grumbling about perceived billing issues.

Li Yunrui, ever the calm in the storm, decided to bring the focus back to what matters: the work, the teamwork, and the journey ahead.
He shared that Dazzling was the result of “careful consideration” from the whole team, not something slapped together last-minute. “My journey as an actor is still long,” he said. “Everyone in the production is growing together.”
That wasn’t all though—he also served up a little behind-the-scenes gem from the seaside shoot. “One day I went jogging by the sea and took a shortcut back—accidentally ran into Xiaotong who was also jogging home,” he laughed. “This crew is seriously so disciplined!”
A bit of on-set banter and casual co-star crossing paths—turns out, the vibe on set is less ‘tense drama’ and more ‘health retreat’.
Dazzling kicked off filming in early June 2025 in the coastal city of Weihai, Shandong Province. It’s slated for a 36-episode run on Hunan TV and Mango TV. Li Yunrui takes on the role of Xing Wu—a fiery yet kind-hearted lad from a small town—while Guan Xiaotong plays Qing Ye, a wealthy girl dealing with a forced homecoming after a family fallout.
And while some fans might be clashing online, the chemistry on set is telling a different story. BTS snaps of Li Yunrui and Guan Xiaotong interacting naturally have gone viral on Weibo, with fans swooning over their “effortless” dynamic and playful energy.
In the eyes of many netizens, Li Yunrui’s calm and professional take is exactly what was needed. Rather than fuelling the fire, he’s shifting focus back where it belongs: on the craft and the people who make it happen.
One top comment summed it up best: “Respecting the actor also means respecting their co-stars. We’re here for the story, not the squabbles.”
If Dazzling continues on this vibe, it might just live up to its name—both on and off screen.
