EXO are officially heading back to Kuala Lumpur, and for Malaysian EXO-Ls, this one hits different. After years of waiting, subtle hints, and endless fan theories, the group have finally confirmed that Kuala Lumpur is on the map for their upcoming world tour, EXO PLANET #6 – EXhOrizon. The announcement instantly sent local fans into celebration mode, marking EXO’s first full group concert in Malaysia since 2019.
The tour news dropped on 28 January 2026, shortly after EXO wrapped up promotions for their comeback album REVERXE. As part of the new tour route, EXO will be visiting multiple major Asian cities, including Bangkok, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur, signalling a strong return to large-scale group activities.
For Malaysia, the concert is scheduled to take place on 20 June 2026 (Saturday) at the National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
While ticket prices, seating layout, and organiser details have yet to be revealed, the date alone was enough to spark massive online buzz across local fan communities.
This Kuala Lumpur stop carries extra emotional weight. EXO last performed as a group in Malaysia during their EXO PLANET #5 – Exploration tour back in 2019. Since then, fans have witnessed solo activities, military enlistments, and long gaps between group appearances.
Member Lay Zhang Yixing had previously hinted that a return to KL was on the cards, and now that the promise has materialised, many fans are calling this concert “long overdue”.
EXO PLANET #6 – EXhOrizon is set to kick off in Seoul with a three-day opening concert from 10 to 12 April 2026 at KSPO Dome.
Following that, the tour will travel across Asia, stopping in cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Nagoya, Bangkok, Macau, Osaka, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, and Singapore.
The scale of the tour underlines EXO’s continued pull as one of K-pop’s most enduring acts.
The Kuala Lumpur concert details confirmed so far are as follows:
Date: 20 June 2026 (Saturday)
Time: To be announced
Venue: National Hockey Stadium, Kuala Lumpur
Organiser: To be announced

As expected, fan and netizen reactions have been loud and varied. Longtime Malaysian EXO-Ls are celebrating the group’s return, with many calling it a “historic comeback” after six years of waiting.
Some fans have already begun planning travel and budgeting, while others are cautiously optimistic, urging organisers to release ticket details soon to avoid last-minute stress.
There are also discussions about venue capacity, stage layout, and whether this show will feature extended setlists or special segments tied to the new album.
On the wider K-pop side, netizens across Southeast Asia see the tour as a strong statement that EXO remain a major touring force, even years into their career. The inclusion of multiple Asian cities has also sparked friendly competition among fans comparing venues, dates, and potential encore stages.
More information on ticket sales, seating plans, and official promoters is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Until then, the excitement is only building.
Are you planning to attend EXO’s Kuala Lumpur concert, or is this finally the tour that brings you back into full EXO-L mode?
