Nineteen-year-old Chinese actor Rong Zishan, best known for his breakout in The Bad Kids, has become the centre of controversy after a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend publicly accused him of cheating and assault.
The story exploded onto Weibo’s hot search on 15 October, dominating discussion across Chinese social media.
The Allegations: Cheating, Emotional Abuse, and Physical Violence
The woman, actress Li Yuxi, a student at the Central Academy of Drama, posted a long statement on Weibo accusing Rong of “cheating, emotional manipulation, and physical assault” during their relationship.

She claimed they met in July 2024 while he was filming Divas Hit the Road, and started dating the following month.
According to Li Yuxi, the relationship turned sour as RongZishan allegedly became distant, often ignoring her calls.
She said she was later diagnosed with moderate anxiety and depression due to the emotional stress.
In her post, LiYuxi shared a police report and a medical record documenting her injuries.
She alleged that during a heated argument in October, Rong “threw and kicked” her, which led her to seek police intervention.
When she confronted him about cheating, she claimed he dismissed her concerns and continued seeing other women.
Li Yu Xi also accused Rong Zishan’s management of dismissing her as a “delusional fan” and denying the existence of any relationship between them.

Studio Responds: Denial and Counter-Accusations
A day later, Rong Zishan Studio released an official statement, firmly denying all of Li Yuxi’s claims.
The studio stated that Rong Zishan and Li Yuxi never had a romantic relationship, accusing her instead of stalking, harassment, and attempted framing.
According to the studio, Li Yuxi had repeatedly followed Rong Zishan to his home, school, and filming sites, taken secret photos, and even threatened self-harm when he refused to engage with her.
They also clarified that Rong does not own any QQ or QQ Space accounts, dismissing screenshots circulating online as fake.
The studio confirmed they had reported Li Yuxi’s behaviour to the police, filing an official case to protect Rong’s legal rights and reputation.
They urged the public not to spread unverified information while the investigation is ongoing.
Both Spotted at Police Station
On 17 October, videos began circulating online showing both Rong Zishan and Li Yuxi arriving separately at a local police station.
Netizens filmed the moment, with one voice heard asking Rong about the case outcome and an alleged “AA hotel” rumour.
The actor kept silent, covering his face and leaving the scene without comment.
The police have not yet issued a formal update on the situation, but the sighting has only intensified online speculation.
Chinese netizens remain divided — some believe Li Yuxi’s version of events, while others caution against “trial by internet,” especially given Rong’s young age and promising acting career.
Despite the storm, Rong Zishan’s professional résumé remains impressive.
He gained recognition as a child prodigy actor and is set to appear in the upcoming historical drama Live Long and Prosper.
He has also earned top marks in entrance exams for both Beijing Film Academy and Central Academy of Drama, showcasing his talent and potential.
However, this controversy could heavily impact his image — particularly given how fast online opinion can shift in the Chinese entertainment world.
For now, all eyes are on the police investigation and whether either side will release more evidence to support their claims.
