Seiyuu Power Couple: Ishikawa Kaito and Uchida Maaya Tie the Knot |
Two of the busiest names in the anime world just dropped some happy news: voice actors Kaito Ishikawa and Maaya Uchida have officially announced their marriage.
The pair revealed the news through heartfelt posts on their X accounts, thanking fans and colleagues for their constant support.
In a joint statement, they explained that after years of working side by side and spending more time together, their bond naturally deepened into a shared wish to “walk through life together” – leading to their decision to marry.

Ishikawa Kaito is instantly recognisable to anime fans as Tobio Kageyama in Haikyuu!!, Sakuta Azusagawa in Rascal Does Not Dream and Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero.
Uchida Maaya, meanwhile, has been beloved for roles such as Rikka Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Hajime Ichinose in Gatchaman Crowds, and for her regular narration work on Japanese variety shows. She also has a solid career as a singer.

The two have worked together before – most notably in Rascal Does Not Dream, where Ishikawa voiced Sakuta and Uchida took on the role of Nodoka Toyohama.
Fans jokingly dubbed this union a “seiyuu world power couple” moment, pointing out that their on-screen chemistry has now blossomed into real life.
While they haven’t shared details about their ceremony, the couple said they’ll continue focusing on their work and aim to channel their new experiences into future projects.
