Xu Kai’s Controversies Grow as Wang Yuxin’s Viral Post Hits No.1 on Weibo

Chinese entertainment circles lit up after Wang Yuxin, the ex-wife of actor Johnny Huang (Huang Jingyu), took a swipe at Xu Kai on social media – and managed to bring her former husband into the drama at the same time.

In her latest post, Wang Yuxin wrote:

Kaizi (Xu Kai’s nickname) should ask Brother Huang from Iron Fist for advice on how to disappear perfectly, letting his mother step in to deal with all the women around him.

The line was interpreted as a double-sided jab – mocking Xu Kai’s recent way of handling controversy, while also shading Johnny Huang’s past behaviour.

Within hours, the remark shot to the top of Weibo’s trending chart, sparking heated debate.

Since her divorce, Wang Yuxin hasn’t shied away from commenting on Johnny Huang’s private life.

Earlier statements from Huang’s studio stressed that the pair “separated peacefully, with no domestic violence involved,” but Yuxin has continued to speak out on her terms.

Just in late August, she even liked a post from Xu Lisha accusing Xu Kai of misconduct – a move fans now see as foreshadowing this latest “sarcastic suggestion.”

The timing couldn’t be sharper. Xu Kai has been under intense scrutiny lately, both from fans and critics:

Sasaeng incident: He was recently swarmed by obsessive fans at Shenzhen subway station.

Videos showed Xu Kai raising his voice, demanding they stop filming, saying their behaviour was disturbing public order.

His studio later released a statement condemning such acts and warning that the police would be involved if it continued.

Infidelity allegations: Around the same time, a woman named Xu Lisha made claims about Xu Kai’s love life. Xu Kai, his manager Yu Zheng, and his legal team hit back with a strong joint statement.

They firmly denied the accusations, underlined that Xu Kai is currently single, and labelled the so-called “evidence” as fabricated. Legal proceedings have already been launched to protect his name.

What might have been a throwaway sarcastic remark has turned into a perfect storm of gossip.

For Xu Kai, it piles onto an already complicated few weeks where his professional achievements risk being overshadowed by endless personal drama.

For Wang Yuxin, it’s another reminder that she’s not done sharing her side of the story – even if it means stirring up two actors’ fanbases at once.
