Chinese Actress Zhao Lusi Details Harrowing 2019 Experience After Agency Denies Abuse |
Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has stirred the online world again, taking multiple livestreams to lay out her side of a long-quiet controversy involving her former agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment.
The actress’s candid remarks come just days after the agency Yinhekuyu/Galaxy Cool issued a statement on August 12, claiming Zhao Lusi was never subjected to physical or verbal abuse.
In a livestream on August 13, Lusi didn’t hold back. She directly disputed the “no beating” claim, providing a detailed account of an incident following a failed audition.

Zhao Lusi said she was scolded for three hours in a bathroom, and as she attempted to leave, a drunken staff member allegedly chased her, pulled her hair, and slapped her.

The ordeal, she stated, happened around 4 a.m., and by 7 a.m. the following morning, the same staff member had called her mother to admit to being drunk.
Zhao Lusi’s frustration was palpable. “Call out everyone who was there for a confrontation. Or are these people your employees so you think you can act with impunity?” she said during the livestream, addressing the agency’s refusal to acknowledge the incident.
The story originally surfaced on December 31, 2024, when a friend of Zhao Lusi’s revealed that she often woke from nightmares after failed auditions.

While rumours suggested the incident took place during a 2019 Beijing audition, Galaxy Cool Entertainment dismissed the allegations as “completely untrue” and claimed they were reviewing online comments one by one.
Zhao Lusi also noted that her mother usually records all conversations with the individual in question, adding that the agency’s blanket denial only heightened her anger.
“What makes me even angrier is that they just deny it. They deny everything. Denial is fine,” she said, her frustration evident to viewers.
