Chinese actor Xu Kai has found himself at the centre of controversy yet again, this time with rumours of infidelity stirring up heated online debate.

The star, best known for his breakout role in Story of Yanxi Palace, recently issued a legal statement denying fresh claims of a romance scandal. 

His long-time mentor and producer Yu Zheng even stepped forward to defend him. 

Still, the public hasn’t been entirely convinced—mainly because Xu Kai has been trailed by controversy for years.

Ex-girlfriend Da Jin Speaks Out Again

Adding fuel to the fire, Xu Kai’s ex-girlfriend, influencer Da Jin, resurfaced with her own account. 

She revisited their turbulent past, alleging that Xu Kai often used a “drunken excuse” to approach women and even shared old chat screenshots where he admitted to losing control and lashing out.

This isn’t the first time she’s spoken up. Years ago, DaJin had posted photos of injuries she claimed came from Xu Kai during their relationship. 

At the time, Xu Kai admitted to arguments and shoving but strongly rejected accusations of abuse.

As if the drama wasn’t messy enough, Xu Kai has now been linked to an unverified overseas account allegedly tied to inappropriate photos. Although the authenticity hasn’t been confirmed, the whispers have already dented his image further.

The timing is especially sensitive, since Xu Kai’s recent projects haven’t reached the heights of his earlier success. Instead of headlines about his acting, most chatter now revolves around his personal life and unresolved past.
