Tian Xuning Rumoured to Be Involved With Multiple Women as Actress Teng Zewen Hints at Past Romance |
Chinese rising actor Tian Xuning might be making waves on-screen and landing big gigs like Hello Saturday, but off-screen? It’s been nothing short of chaos. After trending for days over whispers about multiple girlfriends, another name has just entered the chat — quite literally.
On July 8, actress Teng Zewen, who starred opposite Tian Xuning in the buzzy short drama The Silent Wife, posted and then swiftly deleted screenshots of chat logs that had everyone raising eyebrows. The messages, allegedly between her and Tian, showed him referring to her as “wifey” more than once — and the timestamps? June 2024. That’s after their drama wrapped filming in May.
According to Teng Ze Wen, the two hit it off during the shoot and started dating soon after. She also added that Tian Xuning presented himself as “single at the time” — a claim that now has netizens side-eyeing the timeline even more, especially considering previous rumours involving a long-time ex nicknamed Susu and a girl named Ruoruo, who was speculated to be his current flame.
Deleted Post, But Not Forgotten
Though the post was up for only a short time, the internet doesn’t forget. The screenshots and Teng Zewen’s subtle implications went viral fast, fuelling the already brewing drama.

What made things even messier? The involvement of big-name producers. Teng Zewen is signed under Yu Zheng’s agency, and when asked, the outspoken producer initially claimed he had “no idea” about the matter. Meanwhile, Revenged Love author Chai Ji Dan — who is no stranger to the industry’s behind-the-scenes drama — chimed in with a rather spicy post mocking “big capital” projects, hinting that their little short drama was never meant to be a major production with complicated PR messes.
Yu Zheng Speaks Out… Again
But Yu Zheng wasn’t done. Hours later, he dropped receipts — this time sharing a chat between himself and Teng Zewen’s manager. In the messages, it appeared the manager confirmed that Teng did indeed date Tian Xuning back in June.
Yu Zheng then proceeded to slam Teng publicly, criticising her for exposing private matters and “damaging her own career” by stirring things up online. He even announced that the agency would be “advising her to leave”. However, instead of quieting things down, the statement backfired. Many netizens felt YuZheng was being harsh, especially if what Teng posted was genuine.
Fans of Tian Xuning, on the other hand, have been rallying behind the actor, insisting it’s all a smear campaign to knock him off his rising trajectory. Some even accused the drama of being “manufactured” by jealous rivals or industry politics.

So… What Now?
While Tian Xuning’s team previously denied wild rumours about secret marriages and hidden children, this latest twist is harder to brush off. If Teng’s deleted post was real — and if Yu Zheng’s confirmation holds water — then it puts the actor in the middle of an awkward overlap between rumoured love interests.
Whether it’s just clashing timelines or full-on love triangle drama, one thing’s for sure: Tian Xuning might want to focus more on script lines and less on headlines.
At this rate, tomorrow might just bring another plot twist.
