| Heartbreak at Home – Actress Nathalie Davies’ Maid Caught Stealing 1 Million Baht |
It’s the kind of betrayal you don’t see coming – especially not from someone who sat at the same dinner table and helped raise your kids. Thai actress and former pop star Nathalie Davies has just gone through what she calls one of the most painful days of her life, after discovering that her housemaid – someone she’d trusted and treated like a member of the family – had stolen over 1 million baht (USD 27,500) in cash from her home.
The shocking incident took place in Suan Luang district, Bangkok, and has now turned into a full-blown police investigation.
According to reports, officers from Khlong Tan Police Station managed to arrest the suspect, who later claimed she’d already sent all the money back to her hometown in Laos, leaving none of it in Thailand.

A Year of Trust – Gone in a Flash
Nathalie, who recently returned to Thailand after spending three years in the US with her diplomat husband Itthikorn and their two children, had only just started settling back into domestic life when the betrayal hit.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Nathalie wrote:
"Today is one of the heaviest days of my life. I’m in pain. I’m numb. I never imagined I’d have to send someone to jail... especially someone I treated like family. We lived together for a year, ate from the same pot, and shared our lives every day."
She went on to explain that she was raised to respect domestic staff, never referring to them as “servants,” and always treating them with dignity.
“She helped raise my kids. My mum taught me to always look after the people who look after you. But some people just can’t be tamed.”

The Money Was Hard-Earned – and Gone
The money stolen wasn’t pocket change. It was part of the family’s savings – carefully built over time through her husband’s honest hard work. Nathalie said the betrayal was more than financial; it was a deep emotional blow.
“This wasn’t some emergency stash. It was a chunk of money we had worked hard to save. She took that away out of pure greed. I’m shocked, I’m heartbroken, and honestly… I blame myself for trusting her.”
The Arrest – and a Plea for Help
Luckily, police were quick to act. Investigators from Khlong Tan Station tracked down and arrested the maid. But the bad news? She claims the money is already gone, sent back to her home country.
Nathalie pleaded with the public in her post, saying:
“If anyone has received this money, please, I’m begging you – help return it. We’re not rich. We just want our savings back.”
She also added, “If you know how we might be able to recover it, please send advice. We’re out of our depth.”

“Not All Helpers Are Like This” – A Message of Hope
Despite the heartache, Nathalie Davies made it clear she doesn’t want this one experience to define her view of all domestic workers.
“There are definitely good housemaids and nannies out there – I truly believe that. Maybe we just weren’t lucky this time.”
The actress also gave a heartfelt shoutout to the police force:
“We’re so grateful to the Khlong Tan investigators. They didn’t give up on us. They worked so hard and kept us going through all this. My husband and I will never forget their kindness.”
