She might’ve graduated from the 48 Group system, but she’s far from done. Izuta Rina – better known to Thai idol fans as “Izurina” – just announced her next move, and it’s a big one. The 29-year-old Japanese idol legend has officially signed with Thai label IC45 Entertainment, marking her official return to the industry as a solo artist and influencer, while also stepping up as a mentor for the next wave of Thai idols.
🌸 “I Want to Help Thai Idols Grow”
In a heartfelt statement shared in Thai and full of her trademark warmth, Rina wrote:
“Since coming to Thailand, I’ve always wanted to help grow the idol scene here. When I got the opportunity to talk with IC45, I felt our goals really lined up.”
Not just coming back to sing – Izurina's putting her decade-plus of 48G experience to work by advising and supporting new trainees under IC45, all while planning a new single due out later this year.

👑 From AKB Trainee to Thai Idol Royalty
Rina’s career is practically a crash course in idol endurance. Starting out as an AKB48 kenkyuusei (trainee) way back in March 2010, she gradually worked her way up through Team A, Team B, and eventually Team 4, before making the big move to Thailand in 2017.
From there, she helped shape the early years of BNK48, then transferred to CGM48 in 2019, where she wasn’t just a member – she became General Manager, taking charge of the group both on and off-stage.
She officially graduated from CGM48 and her GM post in November 2024 with a final concert at Ultra Arena Bravo BKK. That marked the end of a wild, history-making 14-year career – or so we thought.
Turns out, Izurina’s not stepping away from the spotlight just yet.

🎤 Comeback Plans? Solo Music & Beyond
As part of her new role under IC45, Rina’s still very much in the game. She’ll be continuing activities as an influencer and solo artist, with a new track currently in the works – set to release before the end of the year.
And just like in her CGM48 days, she’ll be mentoring junior idols at the label – helping to build the next generation of Thai performers using everything she’s learnt from both Japan and Thailand’s idol worlds.
