His elimination after the Hunter situation was especially unfortunate because it showed how one interpretation of another contestant's intentions could completely alter the course of the game. Kayla's decision-making was also never particularly timid. She understood that staying quiet would not necessarily keep her safe, so she kept making moves even when those choices annoyed other contestants.
Outside the show, their lives are arguably even more interesting because neither appears to have treated the programme as the defining chapter of their lives.
