Hong Kong’s sweetheart Charmaine Sheh was in top form at a tea brand promo do, joined by Moses Chan, Jeannie Chan, Brian Chu and Jackie Cai — all looking rather sharp as they put in a sunny showing for the cameras.

Charmaine Sheh, positively glowing, shared she was well chuffed to hear the sugar-free tea she endorses had flown off the shelves the moment it launched. Being a bit of a health nut herself, she reckons the no-sugar angle fits her lifestyle to a tee (no pun intended!).

Chuffed as well with a recent social media ranking pegging her among the Top Five for star earnings, Charmaine thanked fans and advertisers for the solid support. When someone pointed out she’s got a fair few brand deals on her plate these days, she playfully deflected the spotlight, teasing Moses: “He’s got even more!” Moses batted that away with a grin, calling himself “just a small fry” and giving Charmaine the crown for “driving the economy”.

Looking ahead, Charmaine said she’ll be wrapping up filming for Queen of News 2 by next month. Asked if she felt any pressure to live up to season one’s big success, she kept it real, saying it’s down to actors to bring the characters alive but the weight really lands on the shoulders of writers and producers. And what about Bosco Wong joining the sequel? Charmaine couldn’t help laughing: “He’s so annoying you just want to smack him whenever he shows up! But honestly, he’s lovely off-camera — he even made us soup.”

Charmaine Sheh Confirms Queen of News 2 Filming Will Finish Next Month,

After pulling back-to-back dramas this year, Charmaine’s plotting a well-earned break when filming finishes, keen to rest up her mind and body. She mentioned she tries to sneak in rest time even during a hectic run. Speaking of busy bees, she also sent her best to Samantha Ko, who’s reportedly battling health wobbles after filming two dramas straight.

As for Moses, he’s just finished work on his medical series and is jumping headlong into ad campaigns. With a grin, he revealed he’s finally got enough of a break to head back to Canada with his wife Aimee Chan and their kids this summer — no more solo airport drop-offs and pick-ups, he laughed.

The pair haven’t teamed up in over a decade, but both Moses and Charmaine say they’d love to reunite on-screen if the right story pops up, no matter if they’re cast as lovers or pals. Moses chuckled that just working with Charmaine again would give fans a sweet hit of nostalgia.

Meanwhile, Jeannie Chan and Jackie Cai turned heads in matching white strapless dresses, which they swore wasn’t planned. They’ve grown close after filming Prism Breakers, saying their chemistry even carries over to fashion. Jeannie’s about to crack on with a new series called Radiant City, while Jackie’s surprising everyone by earning a singing bowl certification — plus she’s gearing up to drop her own comic book come summer.

Brian Chu, for his part, is hopping on a plane soon to film a travel-variety show. Turns out he’s clocked up enough frequent flyer points to cash in a load of free flights. Last year he nipped over to the UK to catch a footie match on his own, only to feel gutted once he hit the stadium that he hadn’t brought his mum along.

He vowed next time he’d treat her to a trip on those hard-earned miles. When teased whether he might bring rumoured flame Hera Chan along with his mum, Brian cheekily swerved, pulling Jeannie into the chat instead: “I’ll bring her!” Jeannie happily piped up that she loved football too — though everyone fell about laughing when reporters reminded her she supports Liverpool, while Brian backs Man United. Talk about an awkward away-day!

All in all, the event was brimming with banter, a good bit of showbiz sparkle, and more than enough cheeky stories to keep fans buzzing.
