Music, Mayhem, and Misunderstandings: Zhou Shen & Luo Yunxi Fans Clash at Festival

What was supposed to be a night of good tunes and good vibes turned a bit sour when fans of Zhou Shen and Luo Yunxi got into it over — wait for it — set times.

Yep, things got slightly messy at the Taihu Bay Music Festival in Changzhou on 1 May, after some Zhou Shen fans claimed Luo Yunxi overstayed his welcome on stage, eating into Zhou’s performance slot.

According to their version of events, Luo Yunxi was supposed to wrap up by 20:30 but allegedly didn’t exit the stage until 20:43 — leaving Zhou Shen’s crew with just seven minutes to set up.

That, they said, wasn’t nearly enough, and thus began the finger-pointing, shade-throwing, and general fanbase chaos.

Luo Yunxi’s fans weren’t having it though.

They clapped back with receipts — timestamped footage showing his set actually ran for 34 minutes, only four minutes over, not thirteen.

They also cheekily added that Zhou Shen himself went over time too, so maybe let’s not throw stones in glass houses?

While their fans were busy arguing over who stole whose minutes, the two stars were out here vibing together — literally.

Luo Yunxi later posted a cosy backstage selfie with Zhou Shen, captioned “Meeting an old friend for the first time.”

Smooth, right?

But despite the selfie diplomacy, tensions online kept brewing, eventually prompting the festival organisers — alongside both Luo Yunxi and Zhou Shen’s teams — to drop a joint statement on 4 May.

The key message? Chill, people.

The statement explained that schedule changes were due to on-site rhythm adjustments (which happens all the time at live events, let’s be honest) and that all teams cooperated fully to keep things running as smoothly as possible.

They also took the opportunity to ask fans to watch shows with a bit more kindness and a bit less stopwatch energy.

Zhou Shen’s studio reposted the message with a heartfelt “respond to love with music, protect the warmth of the stage with action,” while Luo Yunxi’s side kept it simple but firm — “rational watching, build a harmonious online environment.”

All in all, what could’ve turned into a full-on fan war ended in professionalism, mutual respect, and a shared call for a better concert culture.

Hopefully next time, the only thing being timed is the encore.
