Serika Toa, the beloved top star of Takarazuka's Cosmos troupe, is officially bidding farewell to the stage today, April 27th, as her legendary 18-year career in the Takarazuka Revue comes to a close.
The curtain falls on her final performance in the production Takarazuka 110 Years of Love Songs / Razzle Dazzle at the Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre, with a special "Sayonara Show" set to follow.
Toa first graced the Takarazuka stage in 2007 as a fresh 93rd generation newcomer.
Quickly, she was assigned to the Star Troupe, where she began making her mark.
Her first major role came in 2010, when she starred in Love and Youth Journey.

Two years later, she transferred to the Flower Troupe, where she led the Newcomer performances for three consecutive works, making waves for her dynamic stage presence.
When Riho Asumi became the top star of the Flower Troupe, Toa was a steady force in the background, supporting her fellow troupe members and becoming a crucial part of the group’s success.
In 2017, Toa made a significant move to the Cosmos Troupe, where she continued to support the leadership of top star Suho Makoto, just as she had with Riho.
Toa officially became the 9th top star of the Cosmos Troupe in June 2023, marking a historic moment as the first top star with a former Takarazuka actress as a mother.
Her mother, Akira Shirakawa, a Takarazuka OG, was incredibly proud of her daughter's accomplishments.
However, despite an exciting grand debut in PAGAD / RSky Fantasy! shortly after, the world came to a sudden halt, and performances were paused only two days later due to unforeseen circumstances.
After a lengthy hiatus, the Cosmos Troupe made its grand return to the stage in June 2024 with the special performance Le Grand Escalier.
Toa’s final act is set to take place today, as she concludes her monumental run at the Takarazuka Grand Theatre.
In a heartfelt message, Toa expressed her deepest gratitude to her loyal fans, saying, “Everything I’ve achieved has been thanks to the unwavering support of my fans.” Takarazuka fans around the world are preparing to say their tearful goodbyes to one of the most cherished stars in the history of the company.
