J-Pop idol group LEVEL7 has confirmed that CUCA, also known as Sakaki Miyu, will be graduating from the group. Her graduation will take place during a special birthday and farewell live event on 24 May 2025.
CUCA, aged 22, originally hails from Kagawa, Japan. She is widely known in the idol world for her past as a founding member of STU48, part of the AKB48 sister group network.
She was active in STU48 from its launch in 2017 until her graduation in December 2021, before making her return to the idol scene in July 2023 as part of LEVEL7's re-debut.
Standing at 152 cm tall and adored for her calm presence and strong vocals, CUCA quickly became a fan favourite. Her member colour in LEVEL7 is red, representing her fiery passion and confidence.
LEVEL7, originally formed in 2014 under the name "Idol Chouhou Kikan LEVEL7" (Idol Intelligence Agency LEVEL 7), built their identity on a spy-themed concept.
After their disbandment in November 2021, the group made a bold comeback with a fresh line-up and direction in August 2023. The revival was spearheaded by new producer Sasaki Mari, herself a former member.
The official statement released by LEVEL7 on 10 April 2025 revealed that CUCA herself had expressed the desire to graduate. After multiple discussions between her and management, her decision was respected and finalised.
The group expressed deep regret for the sudden news, especially coming shortly after their second one-man live.
CUCA's final appearance with LEVEL7 will be a combined birthday celebration and graduation live, set for 24 May.
Details about the event will be released in due course, but it’s expected to be an emotional and memorable night for both fans and members alike.
LEVEL7 assured fans that they will continue as a five-member group until CUCA’s departure, and will give their all for the remaining time together.

CUCA’s journey as an idol spans nearly a decade, from her early days as a cover dancer on YouTube, to her debut in STU48, and later, her rebirth as a core member of LEVEL7.

Though the group is losing one of its key members, CUCA’s graduation marks a new chapter—for herself, and for LEVEL7.
