Asai Nanami Shows Her True Colours in Debut Photobook

Former AKB48 member Asai Nanami is stepping into a new spotlight with her very first photobook, titled Nanami Iro, set to drop on 2 July!

And trust us, it's not just any photobook – it’s a vibrant, seven-colour journey through fashion, moods, and everything that makes “Naamin” shine.

Since graduating from AKB48 in January 2024, Nanami’s been building her solo career – from stage actress to on-screen roles, including her ongoing appearance as Yuzuha in the School Idol Musical series.

And now, she’s bringing fans something extra special: a bold, stylish collection that shows off seven unique looks, each themed around a different colour – all suggested by Nanami herself!

The cover already has fans buzzing – she’s dressed in a pure white outfit under soft sunlight, radiating a calm elegance that pairs perfectly with her long limbs, delicate expression, and effortlessly graceful figure.

But that’s just the beginning!

Inside, you'll find Nanami rocking vivid green short shorts, a dreamy “getting changed” shot in all white, a sultry purple Lolita ensemble, a show-stopping red dress, and even sleek monochrome fashion that shows off her famously long legs.

From cute to mysterious to full-on glam, she’s serving it all.

“I’ve always wanted to release something lasting as an individual after graduating from AKB48,” she said. “This book is really special to me. I wanted to express all these different styles and colours, and I’m grateful they let me go all out with it! It’s a photobook that feels very 'me'. I hope it reaches lots of people!”

The release will come in various versions – the standard edition, plus special editions from retailers like HMV & BOOKS online, Seven Net, and Rakuten Books, each with exclusive bonus photos.

There’s even an Amazon edition with extra digital goodies (yes, more stunning Nanami shots in PDF form).

And to top it off, fans in Japan can meet her in person! There’ll be a release event at HMV & BOOKS Shibuya on 5 July, followed by an online talk session on 6 July.

Nanami, who turned 25 this year, is clearly stepping into a more mature, expressive phase – and Nanami Iro is the perfect way to celebrate her growth, both in style and spirit.

Naamin fans, mark your calendars. This photobook isn’t just a keepsake – it’s a celebration of colour, confidence, and everything Asai Nanami.
