The latest Tencent release, which premiered on 13 March, is already making waves with its intense plot of forced marriage, family revenge, and shocking twists.
The drama kicks off with warlord Nalan Zheng (played by Dai Gaozheng) looking every bit the tortured hero—shirtless, wounded, and downing alcohol after a battle.
But the real fight begins when he discovers that He Molin, a traitor he's hunted for five years, is finally within his grasp.
The catch? If He Molin’s daughter, He Anran (Hu Yiyao), wants to save her father, she has to marry Nalan Zheng.
But here’s the real shocker—on their wedding night, Nalan Zheng drops a bomb: He Anran’s father murdered his mother.
